The Reason Why I Came to DFCIS

DFCIS: Disciples For Christ International School

Disciples For Christ International School is a Christian international school in Baguio City. Korean students of DFCIS live in school dormitory. This school has been using SOT curriculum since the school was built, and recently the lecture was introduced for senior high school students.
When I heard about DFCIS, I did not want to come here at first. I did not want to be separated from my family. But eventually, I am studying in this school. There are 2 reasons why I came to this school.
First, studying in Korea was too hard for me. Students in Korea must study all day, spending most of their time at school and private academies. Even though they come to home, their private tutors are waiting for them. This environment of studying in Korea was really stressful. I did not study like that. As a result, my grade became lower and lower. Especially, math was the subject in which I could not catch up other students. Moreover, for going to a good university, I should have done many activities which is related to my future dream in school and out of school. But, I didn't have any future dream. This made me more stressed.
Second, I wanted to study English hard. Nowadays, English is one of the most important things to study. It is necessary regardless of the university where I will go and the job which I will take. I thought it will be beneficial for me later when I will be able to read and speak well in English.
