The Reason Why I Chose GAS

GAS: General Academic Strand

When students become seniors, they should choose one strand for the classes and lessons in senior high school. There are four tracks—ABM, HUMSS, STEM, and GAS.

I chose GAS (General Academic Strand), which consists core subjects of other strands. GAS is usually for students who have not decided their major nor future dream yet. I am one of those students. I do not know what to do or what to be in my future. I am interested in many things, but there is nothing that attracts me completely. Since I do not know which major will I choose after my graduation, I thought it would be better to choose GAS and attend lectures of diverse subjects. I thought attending GAS classes would be interesting and giving me various knowledge.

I am about 80 percent satisfied with my choice. Sometimes I want to focus on one area of the study, but, most of GAS classes are interesting. I recommend GAS for students who do not know what major will they choose and who want to gain knowledge and develop their skills in balance.
